Explained

What would it be like if everyone took a vow to say exactly what they meant? There would be some happy people out there. And there would be some sad people out there.
The first day would be gratifying, exhilarating, free. But by the time the second week rolled around we would dread.
Dread telling our friends every little thought, dread denied relationship dreams we had hoped to nurture, dread our own thoughts.
It would be painful to all, for our pride is a long ways to drop. We would be dropping off of our statuses, our popularity, our secret pride. Off of our unfulfilled goals, our pretenses, our dreams.

Best to remain a little unexplained.

Why Does the World Want Skinny?

The familiar edges of a well loved read book
are round.
The curve of health on a baby's cheek
is round.
The corners of our earth
are round.
The softness of a dream
is round.

But the world wants skinny. It does not admire the body of someone in great health. It wants the hardness of muscle, the smoothness of strength. It does not want movement when we move. It wants our bodies to be strapped to our bones.
No room for anything more.

It is this world that is starving for food on one side, yet feeling guilty for food on the other. How can we have the starved people, who work just so that they can eat and feed their families and still have girls pinching their stomachs, not eating, killing themselves slowly- where there is plenty?

Backhanded world.
That should be completely round. But its not. It has to many unloved edges.

Pseudonym

We can all hide behind a false identity.
Choice is an amazing thing. To choose one name out of the millions of names out there, and only have one limit- we must not own it, is a great thing.
Some names have emotional connection. Some have hidden meanings, but for whatever reason the pseudonym is chosen- the important part is that it is.
